Shout Out to Anyone Who Hung Their Hat Here in April
Like a good workout, April was both exhausting and exhilarating. Getting murdered twenty-five times in a month can suck the life out of you. But rising all rejuvenated like our anti-hero Wile E. Coyote brings the blood rushing back.
After a brief hiatus (read: getting caught up on the rest of life), I’ll bring back the Flash Mystery of the Week.
But first – THANK YOU! Knowing there were eyeballs reading the blog posts during the April A to Z challenge forced me to work harder and come up with entertaining, original stories. Thanks to you, I worked harder, learned a little more about my craft, and hopefully got a little bit better.
Also, THANK YOU for bearing with me during the final week. After my family kidnapped me for vacation (thanks, family!), things on the blog-front got really tough. We had no wifi access much of the time. I had to post a few times from my phone, and I’m positive a few typos invaded because I was unable to cut and paste from my computer to my phone.
So thanks for bearing with me, thanks for sticking around, and I really appreciate all the fun comments from various outlets (blog, LinkedIn, FB, etc.). I had so much fun bringing it to you, I hope you had half as much fun receiving it.
A number of people asked if I’m planning to play again next year. First, I have to put a little space in life so I forget how exhausting this journey became. Then, once I’ve forgotten all the pain, I’ll be ready to sign up again. With a new theme!
Have a great May while I hibernate. I’ll return with more flash fiction soon. Meantime, I’ll collect stats on April and see if there’s anything interesting there.
P.S. To show how much she loves me, my wife purchased additional life insurance for me. She’s always thinking about me, right?
It was a FUN ride with lots of twists! Gave me lots of cunning ideas~

I enjoyed all the ways you managed to make me laugh while getting killed during April. You had a great theme. If you decide to take the plunge again next year, I can’t imagine how you’re going to top this year’s theme 🙂
I can hardly wait to find out!

This was a fun place to visit every day, to figure out how Frain was going to get it this time. Very imaginative! Thanks, and try to stay alive until next April, okay?

PS Your wife loves you… I think.

And thank you for entertaining us. Glad to have found your blog. It was a great theme. Never did I imagine that killing a person over and over again could be so much fun to read! And I did laugh out a lot while reading those murder scenes. I hope that doesn’t make me a bad person 😂😂😂 Great theme. Excellent posts. I really enjoyed it. Thank you!
